There are various styles and forms of camouflage nets. A camouflage net can have a single color or be composed of many fragments with similar colors. The reason for using this mode is that it can cause visual confusion. The intricate lines of the variegated camouflage pattern help to conceal the shape, that is, the outline of the body. When you see mottled camouflage that matches your environment, your brain naturally connects the lines of colored patterns with the lines of trees, ground, branches, and shadows, thereby affecting the way you perceive and recognize people or objects wearing camouflage.
The human sensory organs naturally divide the world into different objects. When you look at a scene, you will collect a lot of information through your eyes and other sensory organs. In order for the conscious mind to understand this information, the brain needs to divide it into different components. When the brain perceives a long upright area connected to a green fragment, you will recognize the camouflage network as a tree. When the brain perceives many trees in a given area, you will understand them as a forest. When analyzing visual information, the brain is constantly searching for continuity.
Let's give an example! Assuming there is a pile of 12 building blocks. If all the building blocks are red, you will recognize them as a unit. But if the six blocks below are red and the six blocks above are blue, you can identify them as two different units: a pile of blue blocks located at the top of a pile of red blocks. If you randomly mix blue and red blocks, they cannot be divided into colored units. If the observed object has a single continuous color, we often identify it as a separate camouflage network.
