A machine learning based clothing selection prediction model: The clothing choices of outdoor residents are influenced by various climate parameters and gender. A study has proposed an outdoor clothing prediction model based on grey wolf optimization algorithm and backpropagation neural network. A prediction model for outdoor clothing considering multiple nonlinear comprehensive effects was established by collecting data through field experiments. The results indicate that the accuracy of this model is much higher than that of traditional linear models, providing a theoretical basis for outdoor thermal comfort assessment and a reference for research in other fields.

It was found that the cadence, leg stiffness, vertical stiffness, footstroke angles, and propulsion phase of different shoes varied at different speeds. Meanwhile, subjective data shows that the correlation between comfort level and subjective feelings is stronger than that between comfort level and biomechanical data. Running speed can also affect subjective evaluation, and speed factors should be considered when choosing and prescribing shoes.
